In a race which witnessed the largest field to date to contest this final Classic of the season the early running was made by Dunsinane. The colt continued to set a strong pace beyond the hill and it was only at the distance that St Patrick took over and won in a canter in 3 minutes 26 seconds. He contested 7 races in total, winning 6 of them including both the York Gold Cup and Pontefract Gold Cup in 1821. | Over Round 105% | ||
